Abstract:
This thesis explores the potential for developing Islamic crowdfunding in Bosnia and Herzegovina as an alternative source of financing for entrepreneurs and SMEs. Given the country's limited access to finance and the dominance of conventional banking, the study investigates awareness of crowdfunding and its applicability in the BiH market. Using a quantitative research approach, data was collected through a survey targeting entrepreneurs and SMEs. The study examines regulatory challenges and the feasibility of implementing Islamic crowdfunding within the existing financial framework. The findings suggest that awareness of crowdfunding in BiH remains low and that regulatory limitations may pose barriers to its adoption. The thesis provides insights into possible measures to promote Islamic crowdfunding, including policy recommendations and institutional support.
